David Bates
Vice President, Marketing

David is a 30-year veteran of the office printing business. He currently has worldwide responsibility for Product Marketing, Channel Strategy, and Communications for Xerox’s multi-vendor channels business. David is passionate about helping customers understand the many ways today’s technology can help their business. “It’s not just a piece of hardware anymore.”

David joined the business in the procurement organization negotiating OEM contracts and managing material planning teams and manufacturing lines. He has been the worldwide manager of the printing supplies business, lived in Sydney while leading the Australia / New Zealand sales and marketing teams, and managed the Office portion of Xerox.com before taking his current role.

David is an avid Boilermaker fan having obtained both his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Purdue University. He and his wife have two married daughters and live in Portland, Oregon.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Paul Criswell
Product Marketing Manager

Paul has held numerous marketing roles in his career including channel marketing, product management and product marketing. Currently he is a Worldwide Product Marketing Manager for Xerox’s Office and Solutions Business Group. Paul is responsible for all go-to-market aspects for desktop printers and multifunction printers. He works with each business group within the company to properly position, price and set the overall vision of each of his products. Paul also has extensive experience in segment and vertical marketing specifically in the consumer and education space. He is passionate about understanding customer needs and bringing world class products to market.

Paul has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from George Fox University. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and three children. Paul spends much of his free time enjoying and playing music, traveling and feeding hungry teenagers who conveniently show up around dinner time.
 
James Dunn
Product Marketing Manager
Xerox Office and Solutions Business Group

James Dunn is a Worldwide Product Marketing Manager for Xerox’s Office and Solutions Business Group. Prior to his current role in marketing, he worked in Xerox Research and Development for more than 13 years on new technology innovation, understanding customer behavior, and driving improvements in product reliability. His range of experience provides a deep understanding and broad perspective in bringing new products to market.

James is a native Oregonian, enjoys boating, golf, travel, and raising his son with his wife Susy. He is a graduate of George Fox University and holds degrees in project management as well as engineering disciplines.
 
 
 
 
 
Shell Haffner
Manager, Desktop Product Marketing Team
Xerox Office and Solutions Business Group

Shell has over 17 years in high technology product marketing managing hardware, software and service offerings. He began his career as an Application Engineer with Tektronix focusing on computer-aided graphics.

Currently, Shell leads the product marketing team for the Xerox desktop product family of printers and multifunction printers including the ColorQube family of solid ink printer products.

Rob Houston
Product Marketing Manager
Xerox Office and Solutions Business Group

Rob Houston is a Worldwide Product Marketing Manager for Xerox’s Office and Solutions Business Group covering color printers and multifunction printers (MFPs) that serve small and medium-size groups of people. He started his career with a large public relations firm in Portland, Oregon and joined Xerox’s Public Relations team in 2003 providing PR for desktop laser and solid ink products. After a stint as a copywriter and project manager in marketing and sales collaterals, Rob joined the product marketing team in 2008.  Since that time, he has launched 12 color and black-and-white products and managed a portfolio of printers and MFPs in Xerox’s desktop product line.

Rob graduated in 1996 from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Communication. An avid golfer and native Oregonian, Rob lives in his hometown of Tigard with his wife, two daughters and Italian Greyhound “Pete.”
 
 
Aaron Slindee
Marketing Analyst
Xerox Office and Solutions Business Group

Aaron is a Marketing Analyst for Xerox’s Office and Solutions Business Group and develops recurring project-centric analysis to support critical business decisions. He started at Xerox in Channel Operations for the North American Reseller Sales group using data analytics to provide insight into competitors’ product positioning, product segments, and product differentiation strategies. Prior to joining Xerox, Aaron worked for Ricoh Business Solutions in the non-profit vertical market sales organization.

Aaron has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M University. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, cooking, playing guitar, traveling, and watching college basketball.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Nathan Van Ness
Social Media Marketing and Communications
Xerox Office and Solutions Business Group

Nathan is the Social Media Marketing Manager for Xerox’s Office and Solutions Business Group focused on products and solutions for small and mid-size businesses. He is responsible for the team’s social media strategy and planning as well as hands-on implementation. Nathan started at Xerox in Creative and Technical Communications, where he was responsible for the development of brochures, web content and other customer-facing deliverables in support of new-product launches.

Prior to joining Xerox, Nathan held a variety positions in editorial management and marketing copywriting. He holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Creative Writing from Western Washington University. Nathan lives in Portland, Oregon and in his spare time enjoys live music, well-crafted IPAs, cooking and spending time with his wife and daughter.
