You may have heard a thing or two about this thing called Excel. You know, that spreadsheet software developed a few decades ago by a little company called Microsoft?
I joke because, not only have you heard of Excel, but almost everyone who needs to compile and analyze data relies on it, given that it’s the most ubiquitous spreadsheet software on the planet.
Which likely begs the question: Why am I devoting an entire article to a topic with which so many of this blog’s readers are intimately familiar?
The answer’s simple: This blog’s purpose is to offer readers helpful suggestions for improving the ways in which they run their business.
And short of providing a surefire trick for guaranteed long-term profitability, perhaps the next best type of advice entails suggestions for simplifying and streamlining the tasks almost every small-business must regularly manage.
It’s about helping you save time, which is why I found the Search Engine Watch article, “10 Quick Time-Saving Excel Shortcuts & Mouse Tricks for Marketers,” so compelling.
As stated in the piece:
“Improving your Excel skills is a great place to begin to claw back a few minutes on every project, because Excel is a tool used by most of us on a regular basis. It has so many incredible capabilities that are not immediately apparent. Just finding one trick can save you minutes every day.”
And while the article’s title specifies marketers, the same shortcuts apply to any business role reliant on Excel as a powerful data management tool.
This sounds like something I need. I look forward to receiving it. Thanks.
Very helpful, thanks.
I use Excel all the time and would love to improve the way I use it.
Winston, Sunny & Steve: Thanks to all of you for visiting the blog and taking a moment to post your comments. I’m really glad you found the article helpful. If you have suggestions for other topics I could explore in this space, please let me know. Thanks again.
