Xerox named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: U.S. Smart Multifunction Peripheral 2014-15 Vendor Assessment for the third year in a row.

Fueled by the possibilities of information, ideas and knowledge, Xerox has been delivering the answers for business for more than 75 years. In that time Xerox has established itself as an overall technology leader committed to innovation. So it wasn’t a surprise to learn that Xerox was named a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: U.S. Smart Multifunction Peripheral 2014-15 Vendor Assessment for the third year in a row.

As one of the world’s leading information technology research and advisory companies, IDC produces insights that guide their client’s technology buy and deployment decisions, making their recognition of Xerox’s achievements all the more valuable. Their rigorous scoring methodology enables IDC to provide technology buyers with a 360-degree assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of current and prospective vendors.

According to the IDC MarketScape, Xerox’s ConnectKey® technology is the core of its smart MFP strategy and helped secure the company’s leadership standing. ConnectKey upgrades are now available on a full suite of secure, cloud-ready MFPs and provide mobile and office workers more ways to be productive, from remote printing to creating apps that simplify the way they work. The report went on to describe Xerox’s smart MFPs as playing a foundational role in the company’s Next Generation MPS strategy to specifically address security, mobility and workflow automation. It further describes Xerox’s channel breadth and depth as the widest in the industry, a presence Xerox has worked hard to build.

So what does this mean for customers? When it comes to productivity and cost savings, quite a lot. As a leader in this market space, Xerox is making it easy for organizations to efficiently boost productivity and reduce costs by controlling print and managing content. Xerox is making your business better – and your work day easier – with innovative products and services that live up to Xerox’s reputation for quality and their commitment to forward thinking technologies that shape the way we work. Even better, our extensive network of sales partners means you can probably add Xerox to your mix, using a local sales partner you’re already comfortable doing business with.

Once again, the research backs up what Xerox’s reputation has told us for decades. Congratulations to Xerox on being named a leader in the IDC MarketScape, and on being a leader in the industry- yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Document imaging solutions propels BLI award

Winning BLI’s Document Imaging Solutions Line of the Year award for the second time was a result of Xerox’s exceptional portfolio of document imaging capabilities, including solutions enabled by ConnectKey technology, Xerox App Studio and Xerox Mobile Print Cloud.

“Xerox is particularly adept at developing solutions that address customers’ pain points to solve business challenges, as well as at partnering with third-party developers to offer best-of-breed solutions,” said Jamie Bsales, senior editor, Solutions Coverage, BLI.

Xerox also received BLI’s 2015 awards for Outstanding Achievement in Innovation (Xerox App Studio), Outstanding Small Business Mobile Print Solution (Xerox Mobile Print Cloud) and Outstanding Enterprise Mobile Print Solution (Xerox Mobile Print Solution).

“As our customers raise the bar on efficiency and productivity, we are responding with the most advanced multifunction technology built around the ConnectKey ecosystem and a complete set of innovative solutions,” said Rise. “We are also focused on helping our partners and resellers deliver unique and differentiated workflows through the Xerox App Studio and ConnectKey apps.”

We’re using the Work Centre 7845. The scan to email works fine, but I have to enter my email address each time. There is a “Favorites” menu but I don’t see a way to save email addresses to Favorites. One would think there would be a simple “Save to Favorites” button somewhere…..if its there then it is hidden. If anyone knows the secret please let me know. thanks

Hi there, there is a way to do this. The fastest way to do this is from CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS) – the embedded web page for the device, rather than from the front panel. Open a web browser from your PC and type in the IP address of the device. That will load CWIS. Next, Login as the admin in the upper right corner.

For details on how to add contacts to the address book and mark them as favorites, see “Managing Favorites” from page 228 of the Administrator’s Guide: http://download.support.xerox.com/pub/docs/WC780X/userdocs/any-os/en_GB/wc78xx_mfp_sag_en-us.pdf

This is the easiest way to do it – from CWIS. If you’d like other ways to enable this feature, just let me know. Thanks for reading!
